National Conference on Revolution and Reforms in Accounting and Taxation

The College organized a one day national conference on “Revolution and Reforms in Accounting and Taxation” on 16th December, 2017 to discuss recent reforms introduced in the Indian economy (such as Company’s Act 2013, BESEL III implementation, IFRS, CSR, Effective Governance, GST and their future implications in the economic growth of the country so that organizations can prepare themselves for the future challenges.) The keynote address was delivered by CA Saurabh Soparkar, (a senior advocate in Gujarat High Court & Income Tax Appellate Tribunal, Ahmedabad. and a Visiting faculty IIM Ahmedabad.) The 4 expert speakers, for four sessions were CA Dhinal Shah, (Partner, Ernest and Young Pvt Ltd. and a member of the Executive Committee of International Fiscal Association made a presentation on “An overview of Companies Act 2013, Indian AS & IFRS”. )

CA Gaurav Shah, (Partner, Deloitte (Gujarat) and the former Chairman of ICAI spoke on “Audit & Auditors under the Companies Act 2013”.

The third session “An Overview of GST” was conducted by) Sr. Advocate Nayan Sheth, (who practices on Sales Tax, VAT and GST and is also a member of the GST Advisory Committee & Implementation Cell, Government of Gujarat.)

CA Hardik Shah, (Senior Manager (Indirect Tax) Deloitte, made a presentation on ‘ GST: Implication, Issues and Solutions’. )
