Introduction
As part of the nationwide initiative “Swachhata Hi Seva 2025”, M. G. Science Institute, Ahmedabad, organized a Campus Cleaning Campaign on 1st October, 2025. The program was jointly conducted by the NSS and NCC Units of the institute to spread awareness about cleanliness and to inculcate the values of hygiene, responsibility, and community service among students.

Program Highlights
- The program began with the address of Principal Dr. Jatin Parikh, who emphasized the importance of cleanliness in personal and social life, linking it to Gandhian values.
- R. K. Patel motivated the students by stressing their role as youth in nation-building through active participation in cleanliness drives.
- Pankajkumar Parmar guided the NCC cadets and explained the discipline and teamwork required in such social campaigns.
- Nilesh Muliya, NSS Co-ordinator, shared the motto “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata” and encouraged volunteers to carry the message beyond the campus.
Activities Conducted
– Cleaning of classrooms, laboratories, and corridors.
– Collection of plastic waste, papers, and litter from the campus grounds.
– Awareness posters and slogans were displayed to spread the message of a clean and green environment.
– Students pledged to maintain cleanliness in their daily life and surroundings.
– After the campaign, cadets and volunteers successfully closed the camping activity with teamwork and dedication.
– Lunch was provided by the college to all cadets and students, which created a sense of togetherness and gratitude.
Outcome of the Campaign
The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, teaching, and non-teaching staff. It not only resulted in a cleaner campus but also reinforced the values of discipline, responsibility, and social commitment among the students.

The Campus Cleaning Campaign under Swachhata Hi Seva 2025 was a resounding success. The initiative reflected the true spirit of the Swachh Bharat Mission and strengthened the sense of community service among the youth of the institute.
